Wedding – Ayton-House

The marriage took place at St. Michael’s, Swinton, on Saturday, of Miss Dorothy House, first daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. House, 27, Slade Road, Swinton, to Mr. Garnett Ayton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ayton, 21, Slade Road, Swinton. The Rev. R. W. L. Sedford officiated.

Mr. W. Ayton was best man and Mr. W. House groomsman.

The bride was given away by her father. Her gown was of white satin and she carried a bouquet of tea roses. The bridesmaids, Misses Dorothy Rhodes, Marion Ayton, Sheila Buxton, Vera and Ida May House, dressed in blue, lemon and white. Their bouquets were of sweet peas. A reception was held at 21, Slade Road.
