November 1929

Mexborough and Swinton Times November 1, 1929

This window, erected by public subscription in memory of the Rev. W. J. Peacey, formerly vicar of Swinton, was unveiled and dedicated on Wednesday evening by the Bishop of Sheffield.

The subject of the window is the resurrection, and the inscription below reads:

” To the glory of God and in ever-grateful memory of William John Peacey, vicar of Swinton, 1896-1910; and Annie Sophia, his wife; the gift of parishioners and friends.”
