Swinton Motorcyclist Killed Near Brigg

A Swinton motorcyclist, Alfred Clark, of 100, Bridge Street, was killed when his machine was involved in a collision with a heavy lorry on the break – Scunthorpe Road on Monday.

Is 22-year-old wife, Harriet Joyce, was riding pillion, was also injured and taken to Scunthorpe hospital.

When the inquest on Clark was opened at Brigg on Tuesday, it was stated that his wife was still conscious in hospital.

The coroner (Mr H.A.Howden) adjourned the inquest until July 17, when you will sit with a jury.

The driver of the British Road Services Laurie involved escaped uninjured.
