Cpl. Arthur Hall was seriously wounded on August 27th in Italy, according to official information received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Hall, 72 Toll Bar Road, Swinton.

His injuries, which include a serious injury to the knee and fractures of the legs, are understood to have been caused by a shell burst.

A letter from the matron of the hospital where Cpl. Hall is being treated reveals that he is making progress.

Cpl. Hall has been with the Forces for nearly five years and has served for a considerable time with the Eighth Army.
