Swinton Man Gets £1,114
Sequel to Fall From Bus
Percy Lawton, glassblower, Crossland Street, Swinton, was awarded £1,114 damages with coats by Mr. Justice Oliver, at Leeds Assizes last Thursday, against Mexborough and Swinton Traction Company for personal injuries.
He fell when in the act of mounting a bus and sustained a compound fracture of the leg and other injuries. It was alleged the vehicle was started negligently.
