S.R.N. For Deaconess

Miss Gwendoline Flinton, 24-years-old deaconess at Swinton Congregational Church, has passed an examination for State Registered Nurse. Only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Flinton, 38, Manor Road, Swinton, Miss Flinton passed the final examination for the State Register of Sick Children’s Nurses two years ago.

After completing her training at Sheffield Children’s Hospital where she was a staff nurse in the plastic unit, Miss Flinton transferred to Sheffield Royal Infirmary. She is to remain at the hospital as Staff Nurse. A former pupil of Queen Street School, she is a member and deaconess of Swinton Congregational Church. She also attended the Russell Commercial School at Mexborough.
