Riding Success.
Eleven-year old Terry Watson, son of Mr and Mrs T. Watson, and grandson of Mr Arthur Oates, licensee of the Butchers’ Arms, Swinton, won the children’s riding in saddle class at Stocksbridge Horse and Pony Society Show on Saturday.
Terry rode on “Flash,” the horse with which he gained second award in the same class the previous year. As a member of Wentworth Pony Club he is joint holder with two other children of the “James Harold ” Cup awarded for most points gained in a year.
Terry, who is a pupil of Wath Park Road School, has been riding since he was seven.
