Accident.

While walking along Church Street, Swinton, on Tuesday night, Mr. George Liversidge (73), of the Gate Inn, Swinton, and his daughter, Mrs. Vernon, were knocked down by a cyclist.

Mr. Liversidge received injuries to the head and nose. Mrs. Vernon escaped with minor injuries and the cyclist, a young soldier, with a slight hip injury.

The cycle was smashed.

Mr. Liversidge is now making satisfactory progress.
