A Nerve Test.

An interesting picture of a police horse undergoing an extraordinary severe nerve test in the course of which the animal was subjected to a number of shocks and disturbances similar to those which might be expected to arise during the policing of large and disorderly crowd.

The photograph was taken while a blanket was being flapped over the horses head.

The competition was one of the most interesting features of the West Riding Constabulary Sports at Swinton on Saturday.
