Miss Marjorie Skelton, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Skelton, of 43, Bridge Street, Swinton and Mr. Ronald Arthur Nicholson, only son of Mr and Mrs. A. Nicholson, of Wakefield, were married on Monday at St. Andrew’s Church, Bolton.
Given away by her father, the bride wore a gown of white satin beaute with an Elizabethan collar, embroidered front and a white fur shoulder cape. Her embroidered veil was held by orange blossom, and she carried chrysanthemums.
Bridesmaids, Miss Barbara Skelton and Miss Thelma James, had dresses of gold coloured taffeta, gold Juliet caps and shoes, and white fur shoulder capes. They carried bronze chrysanthemums.
Mr. George Nicholson was best man and groomsman was Mr. Fred Godfrey. The bridegroom received gold cuff links from the bride, whose gift was a gold chain.
