Wedding – Johnson & Houlton.

At the Parish Church on Monday, Winifred Moulton, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Moulton, 37, Highfield Road, Swinton, was married to Arthur W. D. Johnson. only son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Johnson, Top Farm, North Willingham, Lincolnshire, the Rev. R.W. L. Bedford officiating.

Mr. P. Moulton (brother of bride) was best man and Mr. B. Harget (cousin of bride) acted as groomsman. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in Ivory peau d’arge with a coronet of pearls and orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of red roses and maidenhair fern.

She was attended by Miss M. Harget and Ina James (cousins). Miss Eva Cramphorn and Master Jack Goddard. Miss Harget wore a dress of emerald green georgette, ankle length, with black hat and shoes, and Miss James chose primrose georgette with hat and shoes to tone. Both carried bouquets of pink carnations and maidenhair fern. Miss Cramphorn was in pale pink with an overdress of net and wreath of gold leaves. Her bouquet was of pink tulips.

A reception was held at the Wesleyan Reform Schoolroom where about 100 guests were entertained by the bride’s parents. The happy couple, who are to reside at North Willingham, were the recipients of many useful and costly presents.
