At Rawmarsh Church on Saturday the wedding took place of Miss Beatrice Annie Harwood, daughter of Mr and the late Mrs F Harwood, 33 Holmes Yard, Green Lane, Rawmarsh and Mr George Henry white, son of Councillor and Mrs G White, 10, Rookery Road, Swinton.

Canon F.G. Scovell officiated.

The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a gown of white figured satin beaute, and carried pink carnations and fern. She was attended by Misses Alice White, and Eileen Hughes, who wore salmon pink taffeta with muffs and head-dresses to tone. The bridegroom’s gifts to the bridesmaids were diamante bracelets.

The best man was Private D. White, and the groomsmen were Messrs. G. L. Flint and C. White. The bridegroom’s mother attended in a blue flowered dress with hat to tone. A reception was held at the Old Hall, Swinton. The honeymoon will be spent at Castleton, Derbyshire.
