Wedding – Draper & Caughey

The wedding took place at Swinton Parish Church, last Wednesday, of Miss Mildred Draper, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Draper, of 46, Manor Road, Swinton, and Sergt. E. Caughey, son of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. Caughey, of Sydenharn, Dundrum, Co. Dublin, Eire.

The Rev. T. G. Rogers officiated at the choral service.

Given away by her father, the bride wore a gown of floral lace over taffeta, cut on classical lines, with a veil of silk net and a coronet of orange blossom. .She carried pink carnations and white heather.

Miss Gladys Draper, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, in a gown of Persian gold marocain and a floral and net hat. with n—–r accessories and carrying yellow tulips. Corporal C. W. Webb. of the R.A.F. was best man.

The honeymoon was spent at Tunbridge Wells, Kent, the bride travelling in an Angora two-piece of Wedgewood blue with navy accessories. Among the presents was one from nursing colleagues of the bride at Jessop’s Hospital,
