A German prisoner-of-war, Egan Kliewert, sang “Ave Maria” at the wedding at Swinton Parish Church on Saturday of Miss Edna Bungard, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Bungard, 36, Rookery Road, Swinton, and Mr. Thomas Gwynnette, fourth son of Mrs. and the late Mr. A. Gwynnette, 52, Rookery Road, Swinton.

The Rev. H. W. Quarrell officiated, and the service was choral.
