Members of well-known Swinton familes married at Swinton Parish Church on Saturday when Miss Elsie Allott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Allott of 37, Queen Street, Swinton was married to Mr. John Charles Pocklington, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Pocklington of 9, Station Road. Swinton.
The Rev. T. G. Rogers officiated.

The bride, given away by her father, wore a gown of white figured taffeta with a veil and wreath of orange blossom, and carried red roses.
