Vestry for Undenominational Church

October 1928

Mexborough and Swinton Times October 26 1928

For the past ten weeks, the members of the Swinton Undenominational Church have been busy on the erection of a vestry. The work is row nearing completion.

Under the supervision of the pastor, Mr. H. Dean (shown to the right of the photograph), the members have strengthened the foundations of the church by means of concrete pillars, and built the vestry, The members have paid for the materials and saved the church about £100.

Among his congregation, Mr. Dean has joiners, boilersmiths, electricians and decorators. Since the church was built four years ago, the members have always been willing to work on it voluntarily. The electric fittings were installed by members, and the heating apparatus, by which a further £50 was saved.
