The Drunken List

Andrew Logan was summoned for being drunk and disorderly at West Melton, 24 August.

PC Oxley said he saw the defendant in the state described in the summons in High Street West Melton. He used very bad language.

The defendant, who did not appear, and a conviction recorded against him in 1882.

The bench fined him 2s 6d and costs.

William O’Brien and James Davies, were charged with being drunk on the highway at Denaby, on the 2nd ult.

Defendant did not appear, but sent word through an officer, that they were guilty.

Fined 10s and costs.

George Birch was summoned by PC Pickering for being drunk and disorderly at Swinton Bridge, on the 26th ult.

Defendant did not appear, and three previous convictions were read over has been recorded against him.

A fine of 7s 6d and costs was imposed.
