Swinton’s Best
Darton Overwhelmed
Swinton again found easy prey when they entertained Darton on Saturday. Darton arrived without three or four of their regular men, including Wilde and Brooke and gave a terribly weak exhibition with the bat.
On a quite good wicket they were dismissed in 26 overs by Pearson and Thompson for 32. Pearson took five wickets for 12 runs and Thompson (picture) four for 18.
Hart and Heaton comfortably hit off the runs and play was continued until 6 o’clock when Swinton were 106 for 1 (Hart 42)
