Queen’s Foundry Hold Their First Programme

The first sports promoted for the employees of Messrs Hattersley’s, Queens, foundry, Swinton, proved an enjoyable event on the White Lee Road ground on Saturday.

Apart from the athletic events, features of the long programme were a fancy dress parade, motorcycle surf riding and selections by the Mexborough Military band.

There were nearly 3000 people present.
