Swinton Council’s New Clerk

Mr Basil C Bower, son of Mr and Mrs J.E.Bower, of Swinton Hall, was appointed this week clerk to Swinton Urban District Council.

Mr Bower is a solicitor, and was articled with Messrs Nicholson and Co., Wath on Dearne.

During the war he served with the 1/5 York and Lancaster Regiment in France, with commissioned rank.
