Soldiers Three

Three sons of the late Mr Joseph Wilson, of 9, William Street, Swinton, are all in the Army.

They are Sergeant Joseph Wilson, who is serving abroad with the Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, which he joined in 1930.

Private Jesse Wilson is in Iceland, having joined up in 1939.

Private Stanley Wilson is also serving with the K.O.Y.L.I., and before joining up last year was a member of Swinton auxiliary Fire Service.

All were educated at Swinton Bridge.
