Another member of the family now serving is Guardsman Parker Stables, 20- year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Parker Stables, of Queen Street, Swinton, and nephew of “Steve.” Parker worked at Yorkshire Tar Distillers, Kilnhurst, before volunteering for a Guards regiment last year.
