Private J Brown (York & Lancs) of 74 Frederick St, Swinton, was wounded in the head and leg on July 3. He is aged 28.

His brother, Private John Brown, (York & Lancs) aged 18, is officially reported missing since July 1, and his parents will be glad to have intelligence of him.

Another rumour, driver William Brown (R.F.A.) has been in France 12 months.
