Step-Brothers Keep Together

Two Swinton step-brothers who were called to the Forces on the same day and have been together ever since are L/Cpl. Joseph Breeze (28), R.A., of 213, Queen Street, Swinton, and Gunner William Foulkes (21), R.A., of 16, Hatherley Road, Swinton.

Both were in the Territorials and are now serving with an A.A. Battery in India.

L/Cpl. Breeze is married and has two small daughters. He was previously a railwayman, and Gunner Foulkes was employed underground at Manvers Main Colliery. L/Cpl. Breeze is the son of Mrs. W. Foulkes, of Hatherley Road, Swinton, and the late Mr. T. Breeze, who was killed in the last war, and Gunner Foulkes is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Foulkes.

With them in India is T. Foster, also of Queen Street, and among local lads they have met out there was Cyril Farr, of Thomas Street, Swinton.
