Pte. Douglas Taylor (18), son of Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Taylor, of 76, Charles Street, Swinton, volunteered last September and is now serving in the Army.

Pte. Taylor was educated at Swinton Bridge School. He is a keen sportsman and was for several years a member of Swinton Harriers.

His eldest brother. Sapper William Taylor, of the Royal Engineers, is a prisoner-of-war in Germany.
