Private Sheridan, oldest son of the late Mr George Sheridan and Mrs Sheridan, 30 Victoria St, Roman Terrace, was wounded in the left arm on October 5, and his injuries are reported to be of a dangerous character.

He is at  present in hospital in France and Mrs Sheridan has received a reassuring message from the hospital chaplain, the Rev J B Simpson, who says her son will shortly be sent down to the base.

Private Sheridan, who is 28 years of age has been serving in France two years, and has been in France 16 months without leave.

His brother Private Herbert Sheridan, aged 21, was wounded a year ago and was killed last January.
