Private E Share

with reference to the death in action of private Elijah Share (York and Lancaster) briefly reported in our last issue, further particulars are to hand.

Private Share, whose home was at 143, Wath Road, Swinton was 24 years of age, and was unmarried. He enlisted in January 1915, and went to France a year later.

He was wounded in May 1916, and invalided to England, returning to France in October.

Before enlistment he was a pit corporal employed at Manvers Main.

 

 

Able Seaman George Albert Share

His brother Able Seaman George Albert Share (R.M.D.) enlisted 18 months ago went to France 12 months ago. He is 20 years of age, and has been wounded.

His brother-in-law, Private W Pinder (York and Lancaster) was severely wounded last September, and is in hospital at Shepherd’s Bush London, having already undergone several operations. He is 25 years of age is married and has three children.
