Soldier Missing.

Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Parsons, of Reefton, Racecourse Road, Swinton, have received intimation from the War Records Office that their son , Sapper Douglas Parsons, of the Royal Engineers, has been missing since April 28th.

Douglas, who will be 20 this month, was born in New Zealand and came to England with his parents in 1932.

He was called up two days before the outbreak of war and was sent to the Middle East last January.

Prior to the war he was apprenticed to the engineering trade and worked at Baker and Bessemer Ltd., Kilnhurst. He is a member of St. John’s Methodist Church.

Two older brothers are serving in the R.A.F.
