Second Lieutenant Hudson second son of Mr and Mrs W.G.Hudson, Wath road, Swinton, was wounded in action in France on October 3, and is now in hospital in Warminster,  Wilts., doing well.

He was hit the, !eft arm and leg by shrapnel as he was mounting the parapet on the morning of October 3, to take part in the attack on Le Catelet.

His wounds are described as ‘severe but not serious,” and there is happily little likelihood of permanent disablement.

Second Lieutenant Hudson enlisted, with his two, brothers (who have since been discharged) at the outbreak of war, and saw considerable service with the Salonica Force before coming home to take a commission. He has been gazetted about a year.
