Flying Instructor

Cyril Haigh, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Haigh, 35, Highfield Road, Swinton, is now serving in England as a flying instructor. As an old student of Mexborough Secondary School, he studied for the teaching profession at Chester College and was awarded his teaching certificate.

On leaving College he entered the R.A.F. and was sent for training to Canada where he gained his “wings”. He celebrates his 21st birthday today (Friday).
