Private Jack Golicher,has  been awarded the Military Medal for gallantry and devotion to duty in carrying dispatches under heavy shell and machine-gun fire on April29.

He enlisted in August, 1914 and has spent nearly three years in France.

He was invalided home last October with gas-poisoning, but quickly recovered.
