Sapper James Flint, Queen Street, died on April 17 of wounds received in action the previous day.

He was 30 years of age, and been serving almost throughout the war.

He was formerly employed at the GC locomotive Depot Mexborough

A memorial service is to be held at St Margaret’s on Sunday afternoon.
