Getting Well

Dvr. Francis Reginald Firth, R.E. (27), elder son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Firth, of 28 Hatherley Road, Swinton, who, as reported previously, was injured in a lorry accident in Italy during October, is convalescing in Sicily.  He sustained a broken arm and lacerations of the head in the accident.

Cheerful Christmas greetings from him reached his parents last week.  Dvr. Firth has been in the Forces for four years and has been abroad for a year.

He was formerly employed at Queens Foundry, Swinton, and was a keen worker at Swinton Congregational Church.
