Unexpected Homecoming

Mr. and Mrs. C. Fallon of 30 Kirby Street, Mexborough, were surprised on Saturday to welcome home their son, Pte. Frank Fallon (30), who had been in India five years.

They had received no news that he was coming home.  He has been in the Army for seven years, and has been in both Palestine and India.  He has been in the thick of the Burma fighting and was badly wounded about a year ago, and spent sixteen weeks in hospital.

A brother, Sergt. Bernard Fallon, has been in the Army for 4 ½ years, and has been in Burma, but the brothers did not meet there.
