Gunner W. Cowles (27), of 21, Walker Street, Swinton is serving overseas , and has been in the Army eight years.

He was formerly a miner at Manvers Main.

Gunner Cowles is the son of Mr. and late Mrs. Cowles, of 91, Schofield Street, Mexborough.
