Private P Cater
(York & Lancs)
Private P Cater (York and Lang) 10, Spencer Street, Wath Road, who enlisted in December 1950 and went to France last February, was severely wounded in the right arm on August 9 and the limb was amputated two days later. He is now in hospital in Leicester, making excellent progress.
Prior to enlistment he worked at Barnburgh Main. Private Cater is a married man with one child. Miss Rhoda Sellers, a Wath nurse serving in the Leicester Hospital, writes to Mrs Cater a sympathetic note telling her that her husband condition continues fair.
Mrs Cater has also received a kindly note from the Rev A.H.Broughton, C.E., chaplain of the casualty clearing station in France, where her husband was originally treated.
