Private Carr, son of Mr Mrs John Clarke, 103, Wath Road, Roman Terrace, has been wounded in both thighs on April 26, is now in hospital at Haywards Heath, Sussex.

He is aged 23, single and before enlistment in July last year was employed at Wath Main Colliery
