Company Quartermaster Sergeant Edmund Brough (30), whose wife and daughter live at 161, Queen Street, Swinton, has served in the Tripoli area with the Army Fire Service for the last three years, being promoted to his present rank early this year. He has spent as long as ten days on a blazing ship in the course of his duty.

A son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Brough, 165, Queen Street, Swinton, he was employed by Swinton U.D.C. before joining the Pioneer Corps four years ago.
