Sergeant Annables 20, Walker st., Swinton, whose deceased father was a well-known local miners’ leader, and at one, time a member of the Swinton Urban Council, is an inmate of the Montagu Hospital, Mexboro’.

He has served throughout the war and has been several times gassed. He was severely wounded with shrapnel in the right arm about six months ago. His platoon-commander in Franz was a Mexborough officer – second Lieutenant L Stevens

Sergt Annables is a married man with four children.
