Swinton’s Whitsuntide tour was brought to a conclusion by another defeat on Tuesday, Scarboro’ winning by t6 rungs. Scarboro’s’ innings realised 159, Maynard and Richardson also had a six in his 53. Denton did best with the ball for Swinton, taking 4 for 58, while Price’s two wickets cost 14 runs.

Swinton started quite well, but Denton, who backed up his useful bowling by doing well with the bat, was run out when he had scored 30 and only Price did anything subsequently, his 22 including a six. Temple (5 for 47) and mead (2 for 5) bowled best for Scarboro.
