First-Class Stoker Douglas Lockwood (20) youngest son of Mr. and the late Mrs. B. Lockwood joined the Navy two years ago.
He has been at sea about eighteen months.
An old boy of Swinton Bridge School, prior to joining the Navy he was employed by his father, who is well-known in Swinton and district where he has a carter’s business.
