Rockingham Pottery

Elsewhere in this issue appears an article dealing with the famous Rockingham Pottery at Swinton, the centre of a porcelain manufacture which won great celebrity, so that surviving examples of the ware the still highly prized.

The pottery has been many years abandoned, and entrance the photograph show what remains of it: the “Waterloo” kiln and the entrance to the works.

The site is to the right of the road from the Woodman Inn, Swinton to the village of Haugh.
