Rock House Grounds Ready for Use
The Rock House grounds will be ready for use within a few days. The official opening will take place later, probably in July, when the Misses Harrop return from abroad.
There has been a diversity of opinion about the alterations, but of those who at first objected to the lowering of the forecourt wall, most are now convinced that there is a great improvement. The Misses Harrop visited the place last Friday, and expressed their delight at what had been done, and signified this with a further gilt of £50 for the cost of seats.
The grounds are primarily but not exclusively for old people. It is the wish of the donors that it should be a retreat for those who want quiet, and the conditions of the gift bar games of any sort.
It cannot be used as a park, and band concerts and public gatherings will not be allowed.
