Remand For Mexboro’ and Goldthorpe Man
Walter Ratcliff (24), labourer, 63, Straight Lane, Goldthorpe and Kenneth Lancaster (19), labourer, 38 Schofield Street, Mexborough, were further remanded until November 23rd at Rotherham West Riding Court on Friday on a charge of jointly break and entering a pavilion and stealing 47 miniature bottles of brandy, bottles of port, sherry and rum, 250 cigarettes and one dozen boxes of matches value £21 0s 7 ½ d the property of Queen s Foundry Sports Club, Swinton.
They were allowed bail in the town and two other sureties of £25. Det. Insp. Gregory said the men had been in custody since October 29th Police had no objection to bail.
