Tribute to The Late L/Cpl Jackson, V.C.

The parents of L/Cpl. L. N. Jackson, thee Swinton V.C., were presented with a wallet containing Treasury notes.
Jackson was awarded the V.C. for extreme gallantry in action in the assault on the Canal du Nord, near St. Quentin, in September of last year, when he rushed two machine-gun nests, capturing the guns and setting a noble example to the rest of his Company.
