Prison for Station Theft

For stealing ten parcels of clothing, and yeast, belonging to the L.N.E.R. Company, from Doncaster station early yesterday, William Flint, Station Road, Swinton, was at the Doncaster Borough Police Court yesterday sent to prison for three months.

Inspector Glavey said the parcels bore the proper railway stamp. They were addressed to Mexborough, Leeds, Haxey, Finningley, and Gainsborough.

The defendant said that he was innocent, and that the parcels were his own property. If given time he would produce bills for them.

When sentenced Flint said; “I shall appeal against this.”
