The Rev. William Harrison, who has been appointed second minister in the Mexborough Primitive Methodist Circuit, is stationed at Swinton, and will take up his new duties next week-end.

Mr. Harrison is just out of Hartley College, where he has been studying for the last three years. He is 23 years of age, and a native of north-east Durham. As a boy he worked in a cooperative store.

At 16 he became a probationer lay preacher and was admitted to the full plan at 18. He succeeds at Swinton the Rev. R. Shepherd who has been given charge of the Goldthorpe, Thurnscoe and Bolton churches in the South Yorkshire Primitive Methodist Coalfield Circuit.
