Parting Gift to Swinton Curate
A presentation to the Rev. E. H. Bungay, curate at Swinton Parish Church, who left the district on Wednesday to take up a curacy at West Wickham, was made at the Church Hall, Swinton, on Tuesday.
The Vicar of Swinton, the Rev. H. W. Quarrell, presided.
Mr. and Mrs. Bungay during their two years’ stay in Swinton have been extremely popular. Both have been hard-working members of various voluntary organisations.
Mr. W. E. Callis (churchwarden) presented Mr. Bungay with a wallet containing Treasury notes from the parish and wished Mr. and Mrs. Bungay every success in their new surroundings.
