Parkin Will Play with Sheffield United

Swinton Athletic Club are on the lookout for good batsmen, for before next cricket season they will have to find replacements for two of their best batsmen.

Len smelt, formerly with Rotherham Town, as signifies intention of assisting Cottonwood, while Horace Parkin, their wicket-keeper batsman will be with Sheffield United.

It will be a strange Swinton without Parkin, for he has been with the club for several, years, and last season when Swinton won Promotion into Division I of the South Riding League, he was many times responsible for fine displays.

In Joining Sheffield United Parkin will cut out a lot of long-distance travelling, for his home is in Sheffield
