Mr. T. Abbott, representative of Brampton Bierlow on Rotherham Rural Council, has resigned.
The Rev. J. W. B. Moore, a former curate of Mexborough Parish Church, has been instituted to Chapelthorpe in the diocese of Wakefield.
Messrs. Lancaster and Lodge, well-known London architects have been appointed to prepare plans for post-war alterations and extensions to the Montagu Hospital at Mexborough.
The Montagu Hospital has received from the executors of the late Mrs. Sarah Turton, of Barnsley Road, Wath, a legacy of £50.
Wath Grammar School Speech Day is to be held on Thursday, June 15th, at 2.30 p.m. the speaker will be Professor M. J. Stewart, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Leeds.
